33 violators and accused arrested during a security campaign in central Baghdad

Baghdad: Baghdad /Al-Rusafa/ Police Command announced, today, Monday, that it had launched a massive campaign to arrest wanted persons and those violating residency conditions in Al-Fadl and Al-Kifah areas in the center of the capital, which resulted in the arrest of 33 defendants.

The command stated in a statement, ' Baghdad/Rusafa police detachments represented by (Bab al-Sheikh and Bab al-Muadham police stations, the Fifth Rusafa Emergency Regiment, al-Kindi Rescue Patrols, and the Tactical Regiment), in cooperation with other security services, carried out a massive campaign to arrest wanted persons and violators of residency conditions in Al-Fadl and Al-Kifah areas resulted in the arrest of 24 people of different nationalities who violated residency conditions, and 8 people wanted according to various legal provisions, including a person that has narcotic substances in his possession and wanted in several cases, and a person with an unlicensed weapon in his possession.'

It added: 'The accused and violators were detained to complete the legal procedures against them.'
